Should you get involved in the annual elections
- Apathy is when people don’t care, or when they feel so helpless that they do not try to change or fix things. Apathy can be the result of fear. Apathy is the single largest problem we face today in our governing bodies, because it is apathy that fuels the vast number of social, political, economic, and environmental problems facing society. Get involved ...
- It is oblivious, that apathy at Viewpointe is due in part, to how the organization has been run. Elections have been unfairly conducted and board members have been allowed to remain on the board from year-to-year. There have has some bad actors on the board. And Associa (our previous management company) has allowed many objectionable actions to occur and has managed with an uneven hand. Our new management company, Mission has yet to prove their loyalty to honesty and performance, albeit the Board is ultimately responsible; and their actions has been questionable, at best. The 2024 election is in question, the current board members and Mission Management are responsible for the legitimacy of it, in whole or part; so far Mission and the Board has allowed illegal elections to continue.
- Changes are happening, unfortunately the 2024 election is tainted and we are off to a bad start (see "Our Elections"). New bylaws are being attempted, but the proposed documents are bad for Viewpointe. With your help, we can turn things back around. There are approximately 70 members who are not voting each year. Apathy is high. Let's make a change, please vote and please speak up at the meeting. *Note: Our Constitution at Viewpointe is the Bylaws; and this document is not signed or dated ... and is in the name of another Association. A change is in progress, but the proposed changes are bad for Viewpointe. See Amending the Bylaws tab for more information.
- "When the pain to remain the same is greater than the pain to change, then change can happen."
- Dan Deppen is asking for your support. Sorry, but you can not vote for Dan Deppen in 2024; he was successfully suppressed from the ballot with no write-in provision. But you can voice your opposition to the current Board Members and Mission Management; request a new election that will include Mr. Deppen as a candidate, or choose somebody else. In any event, the 2024 election is now tainted. If change is to happen, the Members will have to get involved ... will you, a Member, step up to the plate?!
